Entry 9 How to use twitter bot?

How to make conflict or disruption by using Twitter bot? It is an interesting question. I have an idea about it.

I think, make misunderstand is a good way to get followers. For example, the name of our company is CandyCrushsg. It is similar with a popular game, Candy Crush soga which is invented by King. When people research Candy Crush game, it is easy to make misunderstand and follow us. Once people followed us, twitter bot will response immediately “Thanks for following us…” It is better, if we make it become more official.

In addition, I consider the conversation between people and twitter bot is another way to catch people’s eyes. For example, one of our team member supports to have conversation with twitter bot. the content of the conversation is very very funny. People will interest in the conversation.

Via these two ways, more and more people will follow our company.

As the article reported that there is a new concept---infographic  thinking. It is a modality to translate complex issue into an effective and recognizable visual form and produce new knowledge and revealing new meaning.  I believe it is the real meaning of the infographic.

As we all know, infographic is a good way to interpret information in visual way. It is no doubt that infographic makes content become easier to understand. The visual element has become a very popular now.

But I still have a question. In class, professor mentioned PPT is boring. So how about infographic? Actually, PPT is another tool use visual element to catch other’s eyes.  It is similar with infographic in my mind. Why people can accept infographic rather than PPT?

Basic on the popular of visual element, I think it is better to apply visual element in campus building, such as the map of our new campus in future. It is more interesting than using a normal map.

The reason why it is a good ted talk
Personally, I believe it is a good ted talk. It is a persuade speech. It persuade us to have a good sleep. The speaker figure out his point clear. And he also list many powerful evident to support his argument. It is very good.

The reason to become a infographic
As I have reflected before, it is a good ted talk which has clear theme and strong support.Clear point and evidences make the talk organized. It is easy to make a infographic for this ted talk.

Entry 7

As for typography, it is one of the Chinese traditional technologies. It is obvious that typography develop the process of history in Chinese or World. Before we have typography, we need to copy a book by ourselves. It wastes too much time and human capital to spare knowledge to others. However, everything is changed after typography has been invented. In addition, typography has a wide use in the world, such as sign on the highway. The word which is full with “art”, makes the sign more effective.

In the article, it has a contract and comparison between infographic and typography work. Infographic is vivid, and has ability to attract more people’s attention. However, typography work has clearer information. Even though typography work is ugly, it is more effective. During the comparison and contract, I have some thoughts about these two things.

Now, we are pursuit an effective life. Maybe typography work is useful than infographic in our daily life. Though, everything has its own advantage and disadvantage. We need to keep a criticize view to face the world. 

Entry 6-I like infographic

Even though infographic and video are both useful, I consider that infographic is more interesting and visual than video.

In video, people understand the meaning by hearing. With the help of subtitle, people are easy to understand what the people in the video say. How about no subtitle? People should understand the language at first, and then to understand the meaning. There are two steps. It is easy to interrupt audience’s mind.

However, thing has been different from infographic. It is obvious that infographic is easy to express the meaning. The picture is more colorful. Everything is showed in one picture.

As far as I am concerned, I prefer infographic rather than video. Sometimes video is too long to watch. Not all the words in video are important point. Everything is clear in one picture.

It is no doubt that infographic has more power to attract reader’s attention than traditional essay. All the information is clear to identify.

4) Strengths and weaknesses of the infographic: what does the infographic do better than the essay? What does the essay do better than the infographic?

Strength: Vivian visual effect which attracts reader’s a lot. All the information is clear. It is easy to read and understand.

Weaknesses: It is hard to explain content in deep. Picture only shows limited information. We still need text to explain it more beside the picture.

5) How does this qualify as an essay and not a series of pictures?

It has a clear introduction, strong evidences in body, and meaningful conclusion. As for the content, it has different opinions, and evidence which used to support different points. It is a real essay.
