Entry 7

As for typography, it is one of the Chinese traditional technologies. It is obvious that typography develop the process of history in Chinese or World. Before we have typography, we need to copy a book by ourselves. It wastes too much time and human capital to spare knowledge to others. However, everything is changed after typography has been invented. In addition, typography has a wide use in the world, such as sign on the highway. The word which is full with “art”, makes the sign more effective.

In the article, it has a contract and comparison between infographic and typography work. Infographic is vivid, and has ability to attract more people’s attention. However, typography work has clearer information. Even though typography work is ugly, it is more effective. During the comparison and contract, I have some thoughts about these two things.

Now, we are pursuit an effective life. Maybe typography work is useful than infographic in our daily life. Though, everything has its own advantage and disadvantage. We need to keep a criticize view to face the world. 

Entry 6-I like infographic

Even though infographic and video are both useful, I consider that infographic is more interesting and visual than video.

In video, people understand the meaning by hearing. With the help of subtitle, people are easy to understand what the people in the video say. How about no subtitle? People should understand the language at first, and then to understand the meaning. There are two steps. It is easy to interrupt audience’s mind.

However, thing has been different from infographic. It is obvious that infographic is easy to express the meaning. The picture is more colorful. Everything is showed in one picture.

As far as I am concerned, I prefer infographic rather than video. Sometimes video is too long to watch. Not all the words in video are important point. Everything is clear in one picture.

It is no doubt that infographic has more power to attract reader’s attention than traditional essay. All the information is clear to identify.

4) Strengths and weaknesses of the infographic: what does the infographic do better than the essay? What does the essay do better than the infographic?

Strength: Vivian visual effect which attracts reader’s a lot. All the information is clear. It is easy to read and understand.

Weaknesses: It is hard to explain content in deep. Picture only shows limited information. We still need text to explain it more beside the picture.

5) How does this qualify as an essay and not a series of pictures?

It has a clear introduction, strong evidences in body, and meaningful conclusion. As for the content, it has different opinions, and evidence which used to support different points. It is a real essay.

“Music is still designed as one person’s experience” Josper Kouthoofd said. He is designing a cloud-based music service to connect with each appreciator. It is a good idea. Looking though the development of music platforms, music become a free material which can be appreciated for everyone. It is really good. However, some people have an idea that web makes music lose.

As far as I am concerned, I disagree with this idea. In the access of web, the music resources are easy to be utilized by various kinds of purpose. But music is a kind of thing which makes people relaxation. It should be a free to public.

Really interesting! There are some tips which are helpful for writing profile and select right photos. In addition, it lists the difference between various kinds of people, such as gay, lesbians. I learned a lot from this document, that the range of female and male’s activity. As far as I am concerned, it exhibits a view of marriage now. Woman prefer gentleman who is wealth rather than poor man. Woman prefers to be called girl than lady, because each woman want to be younger. Man enjoys the woman who looks nice and has lady behavior. Car, money, and other reality situation have been ranged on the top. Is it good? It is a question.

I am Debbie. I read the article “safety pin as Signifier” in school library. Recent year witnessed the rough development of punk.  Lots scholars said that punk has related with academic. In my mind, it is a very interesting idea. The punk has a content of culture. The punk culture was influenced by different mind. It seems that it attracts more idea and make up a new thing.  As far as I am concerned, the process of punk to connect different mind and strength his own meaning is similar with the process of Social 3.0 to share information with each other.

And I also think that the development of the “punk “is similar with “social 3.0”. They all develop very fast and hard to control. The most important is that they are developing.

Social 3.0, it is a new concept about the communication on website. In this blog, it states that the characteristic of Web 2.0 and Social 3.0. I found that the Social 3.0 focus on collaboration. The student will have a chance to edit or finish something together even though they are in different location. The new concept: synchronously collaborate is really interesting. It is not a simple information-share. it is a interact invention which combine app and web. I think it is similar with the software QQ now. The record of chat with each other can been seen in both mobile and computer. And we can use mobile and computer to chat with other via one account. I am looking forward to the wonderful future.
